Orphic Hymn to Saturn Translation

The one who preserves his life force in old age,

father of the revered gods and man,

finder of ways and resources,

untainted one who does not desecrate,

omnipotent Titan of great vigour,

you who expends everything yet is the one to increase it with the same hand,

in the infinite world, you have unbroken bonds,

standing in the ages of eternity Kronos,

ancestor of all,

many-mythed Kronos,

sprout of Gaia and starry Uranus,

birth, growth, reduction,

husband of Rhea,

humble Prometheus

who births all the places of the world,

progenitor of all men,

crooked counsel giving,

bravest one,

I call you with a pleading voice to bring a valuable telos to life,

always unerring.
